Where are the wireless earphones?

All of my friends were fascinated by this new "invention" and forwarded me this picture that what a great idea it was.

Come on! Is that all they could come up with in 2008? This is the 21st century. Why do I still have to trouble with the cords, where the hell are the cheap, commodity bluetooth earphones? It wouldn't only mean less problem with the cables, but for instance with a wireless device two, three or more person could also listen to music from the same mp3 player at the same time without disturbing others. In my opinion this button clip was 10 years late...

Engels leren?

A hilarious commercial of a Dutch language school.

That's the truth...

Reflections of the Warrior of the Light

The warrior of the light has the qualities of a rock.

When he is on flat terrain - when all around has found harmony - he remains stable. People may build houses upon that which he created, because the storm will not be destructive.

When, however, he is placed on uneven terrain - and things around him do not show any respect or equilibrium for his work - he reveals his strength, rolling towards the enemy which threatens peace. At such times, the warrior is devastating, and no one can detain him.

A warrior of the light thinks of war and peace at the same time, and knows how to act according to the circumstances.

Karma earthquake

China and its role and responsibility in our world's future will be a returning topic, but I totally agree with Sharon Stone about the Tibet case and that this earthquake didn't happen accidentally.

Do you speak English?

LOL, I would play this real just for a joke.

Gmason

I'm not really an expert of the Masonic conspiracy theories or any other conspiracy theories at all, just because I don't believe in them, I think sometimes the human imagination is too vivid, and most people tend to connect things (which are absolutely independent from each other) in a certain frame of view to prove their rights and beliefs or to find a scape goat regardless the simpliest explanation. Honestly I don't really know too much about Masons, I've just heard some rumors that they control the world from behind the scenes (like Jews, aliens and other secret worldrulers...), but I've noticed a strange resemblence between a Freemason apron and the Gmal logo what made me think.

The similiraty is too obvious to be a coincidence, so the question is whether it is just a symbolic reference to the Mansonic ideas or rather it is a secret mark (like a trader sign) to let the members from all around the world recognize what power stands behind the company? I might end up as a believer :)

Mah-Jong sofa

I've been wondering a lot about my future homes, and there are many different visions in my mind, but I think the first one I would like to live in would be a comfy waterside penthouse with a large terrace, and I can see that there is an area on the terrace covered by a wooden roof which is like an outdoor living-room with sofas and a coffee table. It would look something like this but a bit smaller.

X-Ray lungs

As an ex-smoker I really appreciate those creative solutions which remind people effectively to stop smoking, although I believe that it all depends on our own decision. I started to smoke in the grammar school by "community pressure", and after a few years I gave up smoking first time for someone I loved, and I didn't light a cigarette for 3 years. I thought that I managed to quit smoking forever, but after she left me the cigarette came back to my life. However I wasn't that heavy smoker (about 2 packs per week), but that time I understood: if I really want to stop smoking permanently I have to do it only for myself, for my own interest, for my own health, not for someone else's expectation. It took years to make up my mind, and finally I did not just put down the cigarette, but I started to change my entire lifestyle on 6th February 2006 to live a healthier and purer, or I would say, a quality life. This progress still goes on and covers all area of my life, and the longer I live my life in this way the more I realize how many things there are what I need to change.

The Invitation

I can't get enough of these scalding thoughts:

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, 'Yes.'

It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

Charma Blue

I like this grafitti, it reminds me to those Krishna paintings on which people are usually illustrated with blue skin as the sign of their supreme being.

Don't drink and drive

I used to drink alcohol but I wasn't a heavy consumer, I usually had some pints of beer or a bottle of wine at parties or when I met with my friends (I never liked the hard drinks) But in 2006 I totally became an abstainer, because I hated to be under the influence of alcohol, I hated that dullness as my head got heavy, the pathetic and ridiculous drunk behavior, and what I hated the most was the hangover next day which sometimes took more than one day. I found less and less fun or joy in getting drunk so I decided to stop drinking alcohol. My friends were mocking me a lot because of my decision, but to my greatest surprise I started to enjoy the parties better than before. However I recently returned to drink alcohol again strictly only inside the frames of quality wine tasting. I still take the alcohol for an unnatural, poisonous drug, and though I don't expect anybody (especially not in a country where the teenage binge-drinking is a national problem) to understand why is so essential for me to live a pure, alcohol-free lifestyle but I strongly agree with and support those creative campaigns which warn the dangers of alcohol.

Pangea Day

The first 20 minutes:

This event is a really good initiation and I absolutely support the idea of reuniting the continents (and the human mankind) but it might not get so much publicity as it was supposed to and I'm afraid that people didn't take it serious or rather they didn't even understand what this should have been about.

Boycott animal-tested products

Every year 6 million animals are killed from cosmetic testing. These numbers are shocking, and I find it very outrageous and intolerable that the beauty industry can exploit the fauna so selfishly and disrespectfully with impunity in order to nurture the human vanity and to make profit by killing animals to develop artificial chemicals which still poison the human body and act their harmful effect after long-term usage, and undermining the self-esteem of the women to sell products to millions of them which, in fact, they don't need at all - the only thing what women would really need is a healthy body image. I honestly believe if the whole beauty industry was shut down this world would be a much more beautiful place.

Song lines of your experience

I see someone's face, someone's body who has had children, and I think they're the song lines of your experience, and why would you want to eradicate that? Death is not going to be any easier just because your face can't move.

I adore Cate Blanchett, she is one of my three woman ideals I admire and revere, I've seen many of her movies and I loved her in all the roles she played, and her recent statements against the plastic surgery confirmed my feelings for her.

Daily comment

Between a quarter and a third of the world's wildlife has been lost since 1970, according to data compiled by the Zoological Society of London. (BBC)

The aggressive spreading of human civilization has already made serious and mostly unrepairable damages in the Nature, but the leading governments absolutely ignore any consequences and they go on exploiting the limited sources of Earth regardless the devastation they leave behind. How could be those leaders so irresponsible to let themselves be blinded by the money so much meanwhile the most developed countries are the very ones who have the best opportunity and the most power to change the way of things: to restore the balance in harmony with the Nature, to make the most of damages undone, and to keep this planet to the posterity because we have only one Earth and we have been eating up our reserves for too long time.

Whether what can stop this countries?

Movies which have changed my life

I have seen a lot of movies but there are only a few which have had such a great influence on me that they could change the way of my life. I must kneel at their greatness and I pay respect to them from time to time by watching them again. The most obvious sign of this type of movie is that after the first watch I feel that overwhelming desire to rewatch it immediately - and I usually do so, at latest in one day. The last movie what became one of the chosen ones was this:

I really don't know how this could have left out of my life till now, but I must admit it has jumped to the top of the list. I think I wasn't prepared for its visual and spiritual beauty, it was a breathtaking masterpiece of the Chinese film making smoothly blended with the western features. I had to watch it three times: when I did first my mouth fell open in fascination by those wonderful colour matchings and locations, it could be clearly sensed that all the scenes were created with the aim of the finest purity and the highest perfection, and I also loved the frame of story how the legendary historical origin and the meaning of the country name were gradually revealed.

At second watch I was caught by the love story line between Snow and Broken Sword and I couldn't help crying at the end. I wish I could experience that genuine and virtuous love one day what can be only between two warriors who fight every day for a higher purpose meanwhile they seek for the home where they can be simply woman and man. The scene when Snow fell upon the sword of her dead love at the sunset flooded me with ecstasy, for one thing, their death was both shattering and uplifting at once, and partly because it showed an interesting coincidence with one of my older daydreamings.

I used to have a vision that in the time of our old age when we have already raised our children and have fulfilled our destiny, one fine day my beloved wife and me dressed in white would seat together on the ground of a sacred place, and to avoid the pain of long agony or the fear of sudden loss, and the remaining void, we would take proper farewell of each other recalling the happiest memories and the most joyful moments of our life, thanking for all the love and joy we gave to each other, and after the last tear has fallen from our eyes we would stab each other with our own swords, and then I would lay on the ground and she would lie down on me laying her head on my chest and I'd embrace her just as we did it every night before so she could fall into eternal sleep to the rhytm of my slowing heartbeat. Our body would be buried in the same position at the place where we died and be captured by a sculpture made of snowwhite marble to show to posterity how ever-lasting our love is...

The third watch made me understand the constancy and patience of the warrior how he perfects his skills to reach his full potential by training his body like Nameless, sharpening his mind like Sky, or deepening his soul like Broken Sword.

Of course, I've listened to the score tracks as soon as I could get the album, and however the music itself doesn't give that much pleasure without the picture, but I could find a really fascinating song among them:

Do it again

One of my friends forwarded this video remake to me, and I loved with its simplicity and its creativity immediately, the song is melodious, and the singer is lovely (it's a pity that she is not the real singer). This clip is much better than the original one which is more oldschool though, but it's very boring and I think if I had seen that first I wouldn't like this song now because probably I wouldn't have listened to it till the end. But all in all this music really makes my day.
